Job description

My client is a multinational company based in Limerick who develop software for clinical trials.

They are looking for a Technical writer to join their team with a minimum of 3 years practical experience and preferable in the pharma / medical device industries.

Role Responsibility

Design and develop engaging and interactive learning solutions for a global audience of investigators, site coordinators, and clinical research associates

Oversee development of the product until final client sign off to include:

Scripting content in collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs)

Reviewing scripts to ensure they are consistent with instructional theories and company templates and standards

Preparing audio script

Storyboarding with Graphic Designer (GD)

Performing onscreen review (OSR) of material developed by GD and providing edits and suggestions

Participating in team OSR and providing critical and constructive feedback to improve final product

Implementing edit cycles based on client feedback

Contribute to product enhancement, new product development, and implementation of new innovative ideas (e.g. interactions, graphics, animations, instructional methods) to ongoing projects

Communicate with SMEs as necessary to ensure technical accuracy of all material

Work with Project Manager to ensure material is delivered within timelines and budget

Additional Responsibilities:

The ID will be responsible for developing customised, Web-based training products and services to support medical professionals working in the pharmaceutical industry.

Experience and Qualification

Experience in instructional design

Strong creative and design skills

Excellent writing and communication skills

Fluent English

Ability to work independently on multiple projects

Willingness to assume individual responsibility for deliverables and deadlines

Proactive team player with excellent organisational skills

Scientific background is desirable, but not essential

Bachelor or Masters Degree in Instructional Design/E-Learning Design or related field
